The Catawba County seat, right next door to Hickory and Conover. Plenty of Newton customers search with "Hickory" in mind, so your site and Google profile should name Newton directly — that's how you show up for the people closest to you instead of being lumped in with everyone in Hickory.

The Caldwell County seat, on US-321 on the way up to Blowing Rock. Service businesses here often cover Granite Falls, Hudson and Sawmills too, plus customers up the mountain — a site that spells out where you go saves you calls from people you can't reach.

The Lincoln County seat, down US-321 from Hickory, with Denver and the Lake Norman side of the county to the east. Customers here have plenty of companies to choose from, so looking local and established online is a real advantage.

Conover sits between Hickory and Newton along I-40, and most service businesses here work all three towns. One well-built site with a clear service-area section can cover the whole stretch without separate pages for each.

Settled by Waldensian families in the 1890s, between Morganton and Hickory on US-70. A lot of work here still comes by word of mouth — and the first thing a referred customer does is look you up. Your site and reviews need to back up what the neighbor said.
